Is the manufacturer's warranty affected by the frunk?

It is a car accessory that is not tested, approved or accepted by the car manufacturer. The frunk is already offered by many workshops.

We are not aware of any negative influences on the manufacturer's warranty. More details can be found in our terms and conditions under point §11.

Can the engine compartment heat up due to the frunk?

Tests were carried out at high outside temperatures, and no higher heating levels due to the frunk were detected.

The distance from the AC/DC converter to the frunk is almost the same as the distance to the standard cover. See also under Technology / Thermal image test.

What do I have to consider when my car has to go to the workshop?

Not all workshops are familiar with handling the frunk, which is why the frunk must be removed beforehand and the original engine cover inserted.

This is done in a few seconds and saves possible queries.

Do I have to modify anything on my vehicle?

No! We have made it our principle that nothing must be changed by our products that cannot be undone.

The original condition of the vehicle can be restored very easily.

Does wetness and dirt get into the frunk since it has no lid?

No! When designing the frunk, we made sure that the top edge almost flushes with the hood.

Tests in the car wash, in rain and snow, have shown that no soiling occurs here.
