Frunk for the MG4 Urban – currently in development
The frunk for the MG4 Urban is currently in the development phase.
After the 3D mold has been precisely designed, it is manufactured and tested in several steps using 3D printing. Only once the fit and function have been optimally adjusted is the mold for the subsequent deep-drawing tool produced.
The finished Frunk is then mass-produced using high-quality, flame-retardant ABS V0 plastic. This material meets particularly high standards for fire safety and quality.
Since several specialized companies are involved in this development process—from design and 3D printing to tooling and mass production—the development takes a correspondingly long time.
Planned completion date: March 2027
We’re already working hard to get the Frunk ready for mass production as soon as possible. As soon as the Frunk is available, we’ll let you know on our website.

Die Grundform des Frunks wird mittels Tiefziehtechnik aus ABS V0 hergestellt.
ABS V0 zeichnet sich durch folgende Eigenschaften aus:
- Ausgezeichnete brandhemmende Eigenschaften
- Hohe mechanische Festigkeit
- Seidenmatte, widerstandsfähige Oberfläche
Alle Schraubverbindungen am Frunk sind aus hochwertigem Edelstahl.
Sämtliche Ausführungsvarianten werden zusammengebaut geliefert. (kein Bausatz)
Eine einfache, mehrsprachige Einbauanleitung liegt bei.
Der Frunk besteht aus folgenden Einzelteilen:
Einer Ladewanne für den Motorraum deines E-Autos, um zusätzlichen Platz für Ladeequipment und Zubehör zu schaffen. Sicher und ordentlich kannst du nun deine Ladekabel, Adapter und diverses Autozubehör verstauen. So bleibt dein Kofferraum frei für wichtige Dinge und deine Ladekabel sind immer frei zugänglich und sofort verfügbar.
Ein Aufbewahrungsnetz gibt dir die Möglichkeit, Ladegut gesondert zu sichern.
Für die Unterbringung von Kleinteilen sind optionale Taschen vorgesehen:
Die Tasche Large ist ideal für den Transport von längeren Produkten wie z.B.: Warndreieck oder Wagenheber.
Die Tasche Small kann zum Beispiel für zusätzliche Kabel oder das Notladegerät verwendet werden.
